Ypsilanti Area CVB Sales Education Panel
Hello All,
"Flip-flops, bubble baths, and lots of chocolate..."
It was great meeting all of you (and seeing you again, Kathy!) and working with you last Friday on the sales education program for Ypsi Real. As facilitator and program designer, I thought you all did a terrific delivering what was promised to our audience – straight talk, helpful sales tips, and ideas on how they can kick up their sales and service games. And you all did it in a constructive, illustrative, and at times very humorous way – which always makes the learning more fun.
Your commitment to helping your industry partners was evident by your agreeing to give of your time and expertise, and I am personally very appreciative of that. I sincerely hope that we can stay in touch and work together in some manner in the near future.
Again, thank you very much for being a key part of the process of bringing both buyers and sellers in this industry just that much closer and easier to do business with.
Have a terrific Thanksgiving,
Gary R. Hernbroth

Frank & Dean
Ed,
I just wanted to thank you for helping make my party such a great success. You went out of your way to get the entertainers I wanted.
I can't even begin to tell you how much my guests enjoyed the show. The Frank Sinatra impersonator was great. His voice amazing.
Dean Martin, well, there's nothing I can say to tell you how much he was liked. He involved the audience, sang just like Dean, and made everyone have a great time.
Thanks again. I would recommend your company to anyone.

Fith Annual "Titanic at the Grand" at the Grand Hotel
Hi Kathy,
That sounds great! I am really looking forward to seeing the photos. I am so happy the guests thought it was the best one yet. It was such a wonderful experience. After five months of planning, I was eager for the weekend to start. You and Ed were a pleasure to work with. Both of you were patient in helping me understand the show, given that I had not experience this event before. I sent Stanley’s e-mail address to the ones who were inquiring about the photos.
I am looking forward to seeing you and your family in July!
Good luck with all your other events this year!
Take care,
Caitlin

May 2014 Titanic at Grand Hotel
Dear Kathy:
It was great seeing you and Ed on Mackinac for the Titanic weekend. Guests seemed to thoroughly enjoy the experience again. Coming off the Chamber event, I needed a little time to recuperate, so sorry I was not around as much as normal.
I welcome your feedback on how you think this year went. I have talked with various staff members on our end and maybe we can have a call sometime soon to discuss the possibility of doing the event again next year.
I know there were some last minute adjustments you needed to make, thanks for making those happen. I look forward to talking to you soon.
Most sincerely,

"Last Night on the Titanic" at Grosse Isle Country Club
Thank you for your services in preperation of our Client Appreciation Event on April 12, 2013. Working with you has been a pleasure. Your recommendations and responses were always fitting and prompt.
Double Exposure, Inc. and Kathy have been a joy to work with, Kathy and her staff were very informative and insightful as to how the event should unfold and offered details that alllowed the evening to be that much more entertaining and enjoyable.
The "Titanic" theme was a perfect fit for our clients and we heard nothing but rave reviews from everyone, including a few teenagers in attendance.
I appreciate the hard work that went into the event and that I was able to enjoy it myself instead of running around making sure things were handled properly. We look forward to working with you again to plan another memorable event for our clients!

Titanic at the Grand
Grand Hotel, Mackinac Island
Dear Kathy:
It was great seeing you on Mackinac during this year’s Titanic at the Grand event. I know we talked a number of times throughout the weekend, but it certainly appears that the guests at Grand Hotel thoroughly enjoyed their experience. Please feel free to share any feedback you received.
If you are willing, we would like to consider doing a third Titanic at the Grand event next May. I think it worked well over opening weekend and we would like to consider holding May 3-5, 2013. Let me know what you think of the date and the idea. I do feel like we had 40 less rooms booked this year than last because of all the other Titanic events that occurred based on the 100th anniversary. Obviously, that won’t be happening next year which I think will get our numbers back up. I do, however, think we should cap the number for a group that would fit in the Theatre. I do not think it is reasonable to tie up the Grand Hotel dining room for the event and I think the Theatre is a perfect venue. It will be a good problem to have if we have to turn people away.
Please let me know if you are fine with the date, and if so, we will plan accordingly. Thanks again for being on Mackinac, we appreciate all you do to make the event a success.
Most sincerely,

Hi Kathy,
Your email is timely as we just had our Holiday Party Committee meeting this afternoon regarding post-party feedback. Overall, most everyone was pleased with the show. We had some of our younger crowd her were a little disinterested in the "generation" of the event but you can't please everyone.
Positive Feedback:
Dean, Frank, and Marilyn were great. All cast members were enthusiastic in their respective roles. Entertaining. Fun to try to figure out "whodunit." The Lounge Lizard character as well as the Designated Driver character were a hit!

Kathy and I have been doing an event at the Grand Hotel on Mackinac Island for the past 3 years, “Titanic at the Grand.” Our first year we brought 500 guests to the event for the opening weekend of the property for the season, during a time which there is virtually very little to no business. It has been a success ever since! Kathy provides shows and weekend events that include live entertainment, dinner theater, impersonators, interaction with attendees, and much more.
Here you will find an example of the multiple shows she has written as well as a very impressive overview of her clients and affiliations.

Participation in a Professional Event Planning Panel FSU College of Hospitality
Kathy,
I so deeply appreciate your visit to campus for the panel. The weather was so horrible and you made such a long drive. The students were thrilled with their take-aways from that day. And the photos are great! I love the one of the governor with the FSU sign! I'll have Meridith send you the panel members photo this week!
We would love to have you return this semester to speak to the Convention & Meeting Sales class. Most of these students are in the Special Event Planning minor and while more focused on the convention/meeting piece for this course....the CSEP still has great application. As you know it is all so integrated! And the expo would be a great piece to speak to these students on - we cover tradeshows in this course and our program is becoming quite involved in several including MME's.
I'll be in touch later in the semester to see if we can arrange a speaking visit. I will also be launching ISES or NACE this semester with my students so I am sure I'll see you at one of meetings in Detroit ... and will most likely be in touch for your recommendations! Thank you Kathy for all your support and interest in the students. I am glad you had a little time off and hope you are enjoying the new year!

Hi Kathy,
I am glad that you enjoyed last night’s premiere. It was such a thrill to have been in the presence of all those WWII veterans, and our current military.
The Andrew Sisters were very entertaining and I’m sure that everyone enjoyed them. I think it was better for them to stroll the lobby since there were more people there to mingle with, so no worries that they were not upstairs at the VIP party. It worked out just fine.

One couple, (parents of the best man) thought he was the real Barry...LOL Our Aunt who is 85 was just in AWE, as he stooped to sing by her! The wedding was so wonderful. Amy and Damein planned a georgous wedding. We got many compliments on the Hall, Food, and DJ and most were tweaked by having an entertainer there. AND MOST were not surprised it being Barry Manilow.
Thanks again for everything, and for being so wonderful to work with.
Thanks again
Johanna & Bob Gajda......AND AMY !

The Supremes, Aretha, Diana Ross and Donna Summer at the Hard Rock Café
The Supremes were a great addition to my fundraising benefit for Cystic Fibrosis at the Hard Rock Café on Friday, November 6th. My guests were surprised and really got into their performance. I have received many compliments about how lively they made the event. Even my older guests had fun and loved every minute of their show!
Donna Summer (Wanda) was a joy to work with and very professional. She gave a special “Happy Birthday” song to one of our special guests. His family loved it! Her voice and energy were amazing and I know I will be recommending her to others.
Diana Ross (Levonne) did a fabulous job singing and she sounded like the real Diana!
Aretha Franklin (Kathleen) really gave it her all as she sang “Ridin’ Down the Freeway” – my guests were loving this act! It went superb with my “Made in Detroit ” themed benefit!
All 3 girls were just great in all that they did and made my event extra special! They offered their talents and time specifically for my cause. Not only were they laid back and easy to work with under very limited time and space to prepare for their performance, but they were happy to be a part of my night.
I can’t say enough good things about them and highly recommend any or all of them to make your event a fun and successful one!

1940s Swing - USO Show Tribute Show
As I told you at the event, you have delivered an unbelievable performance for us and our guests. All of the feedback, including comments, thank you cards, newspaper articles (letters to the editor) have been overwhelmingly positive. When I saw the Korean vets and their wives holding hands, with a tear in the their eyes, I knew you had pulled off the kind of show we were hoping for. Please extend my congratulations and gratitude to all of your talent and behind the scenes staff for an excellent execution.

Darth Vader Birthday Party
Kathy,
It went great! Though it was loud! Boys loved Darth/Rob and it was the talk of the daycare yesterday. Thanks for helping us prevent any emergencies. The only thing we did not anticipate was the boys would crawl under Darth’s cape. I’m sure Rob was caught off guard by that one. We look forward to working with you again, and will involve you earlier in the process.

Rat Pack Show/Private Party
Kathy...the dust is settling...I don't think I ever took time to really say THANK YOU for all the help you gave me with the Moceri party! It was fabulous! I am trying to think of some event FOR ME that Dean Martin can sing at! He is amazing!
I really did appreciate the extra time that you took to make certain that all was going well - the characters were great - it was a jammed pack night of entertainment. KUDOS to Superman for being so spontaneous - he was so good...looked exactly perfect for the part - he was great - AND I appreciated you taking him to find a better costume - he certainly did match those clark bars!
Have a wonderful holiday season! Many Thanks!!!

U of M Red Carpet with the "Rat Pack"
Hi Kathy,
Thanks again for the great event. All the performers were amazing.
First off I would appreciate it if you thank Sam (the sound guy) once again for staying late and helping us with the lighting and sound. Sam did an amazing job setting up and was more then willing to adjust to our needs on such a short notice. The Joan Rivers impersonator had a great personality that was so much better then we expected. Frank and Dean did a wonderful job on stage and adjusting to the show and catering to the audience, their personalities as well as their talent really showed. The Elvis impersonator was a delight with his performance and he kept involving the crowd throughout his set. All the performers greeted and posed for pictures before hand and we had a great reaction from everyone that participated. The on stage performances also got a huge reaction from a crowd with music well before our time, I think the mannerisms and actions of the impersonators really got everyone into the evening.
Thanks,
Michel Saad

Chris - New Neil Diamond
Private Party at Windsor Country Club
Dear Kathy,
Neil and the D.J. were fantastic! Everyone enjoyed his performance. I have had so much positive feedback. I have passed on your name to one of our guests who is chief of the ER. at one of local hospitals, he is also the attending physician for Caesar’s casino here in Windsor. He was most impressed with his performance. Hopefully it will lead to further gigs for Neil. The D.J. worked very well along side of Neil, you would think they had worked together before. Kathy I can honestly say the entertainment provided was first class. I've heard that the club also enjoyed the performance greatly! Your company did a fabulous job helping me co-ordinate everything, very professional! Anyway I hope our that our paths will cross again soon. many thanks again for your wonderful services, and please let Neil know that we had a great time enjoying his many talents. It truly made Jack's birthday celebration unique and special!! My youngest son has a new found appreciation for Dean Martin.
Thank you sincerely!!

Corporate Event
Hi Kathy,
Sorry I didn't get a chance to email you sooner, but it's been crazy around here. We had a lot of fun last night and we've only heard compliments. Joan and Neil did a great job. Some of the reactions to Joan were priceless!! She certainly had all of us in HR laughing. Neil did a wonderful job and even signed some autographs for his fans. I have received several comments about how much Neil sounded like the real Neil.
All in all, it was a wonderful evening.

Silver Screen Soiree/Corporate Fundraiser Event
Hey Kathy,
I'm sure I speak for all of the committee members when I say what a marvelous job you did with this year's event. It was arguable one of the best we've presented. I continue to get comments from vendors and Campbell-Ewald colleagues. We all anticipated that this year's Soirée would be challenging, but to the extent it became was indeed surprising. Through it all, including pneumonia, you succeeded in producing an excellent, highly entertaining program. A heartfelt thank you and congratulations! Your professionalism and generosity made this very special for Bruce's family as well as our community. Thanks Kathy.
Warmest Regards,
Bob & Carole Solano

December 2006
"Last Night on the Titanic" Dinner Show
Hi Kathy,
We had a ball! Your cast and the Holly Hotel folks were fantastic. The Dean never stepped out of character! It was hilarious. The Astor’s were very good sports about his indulging his creativity as guests of the captain’s table. What was interesting was even though the distribution of the characters was random, it seemed like something unseen was at work because the characters fit the personalities and/or the jobs that people have. Everyone had a great time.
I hope everything went well with your trip. Thank you again for giving us such a unique and memorable holiday party.
